To lead the delivery of a responsive, consistent and customer focused Procurement and Commercial Service function in support of the Council’s strategic and transformational objectives.
Undertake the role of Professional Lead for the delivery of a council wide Procurement and Commercial Services function
To ensure that commercial services are focused upon delivering value for money, social value and sustainable procurement and act as enablers, providing flexible solutions-focused services for the Council its citizens and customers and utilizing digital systems to deliver its services
To lead and implement procurement strategies that take into account the Well Being of Future Generations Act 2015, Climate Change Social Partnerships legislation and any future relevant policy objectives
To lead the development and implementation of a strategic approach to Contract Management across the Council
To deputise for the Head of Finance for procurement matters
